Since opening for orders in July 2024, New ë-C3 has won multiple awards having already been awarded ‘Car of the Year’ and ‘Affordable Electric Car of the Year’ at the 2024 Auto Express New Car Awards. The award comes ahead of the UK commercial launch of New ë-C3.

With prices starting at £21,990 OTR MRRP, New ë-C3 is one of the most affordable ways for customers to make the switch to electric. New ë-C3 delivers best-in-class comfort, an easy electric experience, an outstanding level of useful equipment, and value for money.
The Carbuyer judges praised ë-C3 for its levels of technology and equipment, comfort and build quality without compromising on price, feeling that New ë-C3 makes electric motoring affordable. New ë-C3 features Citroën Advanced Comfort® technology for the first time. This technology equips ë-C3 with Advanced Comfort® seats and Advanced Comfort® suspension meaning that ë-C3 benefits from the levels of comfort consumers expect from a Citroën.
Paul Barker, Editor of Carbuyer, said: “There were fears that small cars were going the way of the Dodo, but models like New Citroën ë-C3 show that couldn’t be further from the truth. We described it as the right car at the right time because it brings affordable electric motoring to the masses. Starting from just under £22k, here’s a stylish, practical and comfortable supermini with a 199-mile range and easy driving manners. Standard kit includes all the essentials, while the MAX trim adds luxuries like heated seats and even a defrosting windscreen.”
Greg Taylor, Managing Director Citroën UK, said: “We're delighted that New ë-C3 has won this award. It highlights Citroën’s commitment to electrification and determination to provide affordable EV options for our customers, making EVs accessible to all. I am thrilled by the ongoing positive reaction for New ë-C3.”
The Carbuyer Awards sees a team of experts put the most significant cars on sale through their paces, measuring every competitor in the UK to provide a list of the best cars each year. To be considered for a Best Car award, a model needs to have excelled in the areas of running costs, safety, technology, performance and practicality.
New ë-C3 is the perfect car for urban and suburban environments, with a 113hp electric motor and automatic transmission delivering more than enough performance to deal with everyday driving. The 44kWh battery provides up to 199 miles (WLTP) of range and is capable of a rapid charge from 20-80% in just 26 minutes using a 100kW DC rapid charger.
