FIAT PROFESSIONAL DUCATO WINS LARGE VAN OF THE YEAR 2024 AT THE COMPANY CAR AND VAN AWARDS
• Fiat Professional New Ducato wins Large Van of the Year for the fifth time in a row
• Praised for its model variety, design and safety features
The Fiat Professional Ducato has been proclaimed as the winner of the Large Van of the Year category at the annual Company Car and Van Awards 2024, after winning the same award in 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023.
Praised for the variety of Ducato models on offer and their magnificent ease of handling, the Ducato has long established itself as the leader among other commercial vehicles. The vehicle’s practical interior design and safety features have been noted as a contributing factor in its win.
Speaking of the award, Andrew Walker of Company Car & Van commented:
“For a record breaking fifth year in a row, the Fiat Professional Ducato is our Large Van of the Year. For a start, it's offered in more versions than any other large van and with diesel and electric powertrains. With the option of an 8-speed auto gear box and torque convertor, for a large van, it's incredibly easy to drive. The cabin offers some clever work and storage solutions for the busy van driver and also features the latest safety and tech which is fitted across the range.”
Damien Dally, Managing Director of Fiat Professional in the UK, said:
“A fifth consecutive win for Fiat Professional Ducato at the Company Car and Van Awards signifies Fiat Professional’s ability to keep evolving and leading the innovation that’s needed by an ever changing market.”
First unveiled in 1981, the most recent version of Ducato can carry a cargo load of up to 17 m3 and payload of up to 1975 kg, is offered with a choice of diesel (power of up to 180PS) or fully electric powertrains (272PS). The electric version features a new 110kWh battery with up to 261 miles of range (WLTP) and torque up to 410 nm. The diesel version has power up to 180PS (134kW) at 3500 rpm, torque up to 450 nm at 1500 rpm and a 2184 cc displacement.
The New Ducato is the first commercial vehicle to be equipped with Level 2 autonomous Advanced Driving Assistance Systems (ADAS), enhancing driver and wider road safety to deliver a stress-free driving experience. The New Ducato also features multiple ADAS as standard, providing braking support for unexpected obstacles such as pedestrians and cyclists, lane support, traffic sign recognition and intelligent speed assist.
