NEW CITROËN C5 X NAMED LARGE CAR OF THE YEAR IN COMPANY CAR & VAN AWARDS 2023
05 January 2023 23/01
- New Citroën C5 X has been named ‘Large Car of the Year’ in the 2023 Company Car & Van Awards.
- New C5 X praised for its stylish design, comfortable driving experience and spacious interior.
- Fourth UK award win for New C5 X, having already received accolades from carwow, Parkers and The Car Expert.
Company Car & Van praised New C5 X for its unique combination of comfort, practicality and style, making it unlike anything else currently on sale in the UK. Citroën’s signature Advanced Comfort® Suspension comes as standard on all C5 X models, offering a ‘Magic Carpet-like’ driving experience. Plug-in Hybrid versions go one step further, featuring ’Active’ suspension technology that uses on-board sensors to automatically optimise the suspension settings based on road conditions.
Andrew Walker, Editor and Publisher of Company Car & Van, said: “We love the way the C5 X looks, the way it drives and the way it harks back to Citroën's of old. Furthermore, it’s a more than viable alternative to a large SUV, offering bags of space with saloon handling and there's a plug-in hybrid too. The C5 X is a breath of fresh air in a sector full of dullness.”
Greg Taylor, Citroën UK’s newly appointed Managing Director, said: “We are thrilled to see New C5 X named ‘Large Car of the Year’ in the Company Car & Van Awards 2023. This is New C5 X’s fourth award in quick succession and our flagship model continues to receive high praise from the media and customers alike for its unique design and serene driving experience.”
New Citroën C5 X combines the modernity and appeal of an SUV, the refinement of a premium saloon and the practicality of an estate car, creating a truly striking and distinctive vehicle in the D-segment. New C5 X not only represents a look into the future for Citroën, thanks to its advanced technologies, but also celebrates the brand’s rich heritage, including models such as CX and XM.
New C5 X is available as an efficient Plug-in Hybrid with up to 37 miles of electric range (EAER WLTP Combined) with Benefit-in-Kind tax rates as low as 12%, or with an advanced PureTech petrol engine. Prices for New C5 X and New C5 X Plug-in Hybrid start from just £28,670 and £36,720 respectively (MRRP OTR).
